Introduction to the DBE program for English, French as Second Language, Contemporary World and Computers
This workshop is geared towards teachers who are in the general adult education sector and are new to teaching the Diversified Basic Education courses in English, French as a Second Language, Contemporary World and Computers. Teachers will acquire a stronger understanding of the teaching and evaluation practices for both programs and leave with curriculum-aligned tools that will help with their everyday practice. CREATING END- OF- COURSE EVALUATIONS FOR MATH IV, SCIENCE OPTION
This four- session PD opportunity will clarify the scope and sequence of the Science Math IV concepts and deepen our understanding of the subject- specific evaluation criteria. Teachers will focus on curriculum and evaluation via the Understanding by Design framework and develop at least one end- of- course evaluation tool (pretest) for 4171, 4172, and 4173.
